We had to walk cross country from Long canyon to Gravel canyon. We had planns to meet Marshal at the top of the "super slot" in Gravel so we had a ways to tavel.
Once in Gravel we encoutered an interesting set of narrows. I rapped down the first drop but then found a second which would be a difficult rappel. Since we had only one rope there was no way that we could leave a fixed exit so climbed back out and we went around.
Below that we walked through several gravel floored narrows. Very beautiful. Unfortunately, we were thirsty, there were hints that there might be some rain around, and we had a date to meet Marshal, so we pushed on with out taking much time to enjoy these narrows.
At the meeting point there was no sign of Marshal. We eventually found a route out of the inner gorge to slick rock benches. There Andrew found an overhang we could cook under. Some water, food, and a couple asprin restored me.
