Sunday Megan flew back to Seattle. Marshal and Jeff drove her up to Salt Lake so that left me with a day. I flew into Hanksville for showers and laundry. Marshal got some photos of me taking off from the Hidden Splendor airport. The wind was from the south so I took off toward the narrow canyon to the south and had to make a 180 degree turn within it's confines.
A couple days latter Marshal rode with me on the same departure. We then flew north east over the Swell.
here's what that turn looks like from inside the airplane. | Kelsey Country, the red canyons just north of Hidden Splendor and the center of the swell beyond. | ||
